Controlled chemical exfoliation induces a regenerative response, replacing damaged cells with healthier, smoother skin.
A chemical agent, such as Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) or Jessner's solution, precisely exfoliates the epidermis and upper dermis. This controlled process encourages skin regeneration, leading to improved texture and reduced pigmentation.
The application of a chemical exfoliant like TCA causes controlled keratocoagulation (denaturation of proteins) in the epidermis and papillary dermis. This necrosis stimulates a wound healing response, leading to re-epithelialization and the deposition of new dermal collagen and elastin, resulting in dermal thickening and clinical improvement of skin texture and rhytides.
