- Keep your head raised day and night for 1 week
- Use a cold pack for swelling
- No direct sun
- Go to all follow-up visits
- Expect swelling and bruising, peaking in the first few days and subsiding over 1-3 weeks. Sutures are typically removed in 7-10 days. Numbness and itching are common during healing and may last several months. Most can return to light activities in 1-2 weeks; avoid strenuous exercise for 3-4 weeks. Final results emerge as swelling fully resolves over a few months.
