- Initial recovery involves managing swelling, bruising, and soreness for 1-2 weeks. A compression garment must be worn continuously for several weeks to reduce swelling and help the skin conform to the new shape. Light activity can be resumed in a few days, but strenuous exercise is restricted for 4-6 weeks. Final results become apparent after 3-6 months as all swelling subsides.

How it works, and common myths

A specialized fluid is injected, then a cannula gently suctions localized fat deposits from the entire treatment area.

A little more technical

A surgeon injects a special fluid to numb the area and shrink blood vessels, then uses a thin tube called a cannula to break up and suction out unwanted fat cells from around your entire torso.

The procedure utilizes tumescent local anesthesia to firm the subcutaneous fat and provide hemostasis. A cannula is then inserted through small incisions to mechanically disrupt and aspirate adipocytes, permanently reducing the number of fat cells in the target circumferential area.
